FAQ
Is Saltmere free?
Yes. The whole game is free to play in your browser, with no download and no sign-up.
Do I need $SALTMERE to play?
No. The token only adds bonuses: holders get faster production by tier, and burns unlock extra items. Everyone can reach every age without it.
Can I withdraw or cash out anything?
No. The game has no cash-out. Coins, fish, pearls and items live in the game only and have no cash value.
What does burning do?
Your wallet sends $SALTMERE to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, an address nobody controls, and the game unlocks the item you picked. Burned tokens are gone for good. Saltmere never holds your tokens.
Is holding safe? Does the game move my tokens?
Holding is a read of your public balance. Connecting only shares your address. The game never asks for a signature to connect, and never for your recovery phrase.
Where is my town saved?
In this browser, on this device. Clearing site data resets it. Burn unlocks are tied to your wallet, so they come back when you connect it.
Is this an investment?
No. $SALTMERE is a community token for a game. There is no promise of profit, and its price can go to zero.
